HOW TO BINGE LIKE A PROFESSIONAL… SOME HELPFUL TIPS AND HINTS!
We’re all binging shows these days to pass the time, so here is a set of rules to make sure you have a successful and safe binge!
Don’t play drinking games while binging.
If you do a shot every time someone on “Billions” does a double-cross or Joey says, “How you doin’?” on Friends, you won’t make it past three episodes.
Have convenient food on hand.
You don’t want to have to hit the pause button during the Red Wedding to make the popcorn, so have the Smartfood handy.
Fitness is important but so is watching your favorite shows.
You want to stay in shape but you also want to watch ten episodes of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” back-to-back, so why not do sitting jumping jacks or seated leg extensions why watching the amazing Rachel Brosnahan.
Plan ahead to what you will watch next.
Finishing a long binge can be an emotional experience. Like coming to the end of a great book, getting to the end of a great series means you won’t be see your TV pals Tony Soprano or Buffy Summers for a while. To avoid separation anxiety, have another show queued up and ready to go.
Don’t fear the subtitle.
Like “Parasite” director Bong Joon Ho said during his Golden Globes acceptance speech, “overcome the one-inch tall barrier of subtitles” and “be introduced to so many more amazing films?” There are many international shows and movies to enjoy and make you seem smart when you tell your friends about them.
Try Binge Roulette.
If you’re stumped for what to watch choose a genre, or director or actor or keyword and go wherever the algorithm takes you. It’ll keep your picks fresh and perhaps lead you down some interesting rabbit holes.
