RICHARD NEW MOVIE REVIEWS COMING THIS WEEK – SEPTEMBER 6, 2024!
I’ll be reviewing three movies this week, everything from a bio-exorcist to a metalhead success story and a scary mother-in-law.
Everyone’s favorite bio-exorcist returns after a 36-year gap in “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” In the Tim Burton directed movie three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her teenage daughter, Astrid, accidentally opens the portal to the Afterlife releasing Beetlejuice.
We first met Dean Murdoch, the “Governor of Givin’er,” twenty-two years ago in the classic mockumentary “FUBAR.” “Deaner ’89,” a new comedy now playing in theatres, recounts the early life and times of hard-luck metalhead who finally makes it after struggling for decades.
Singer, songwriter, and actress Brandy stars in “The Front Room,” a new horror thriller, now playing in theatres, about a newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing, estranged stepmother. The mother’s erratic behavior and mysterious past unveil dark secrets that threaten to unravel the couple’s relationship.
